#Cumbergiveaway Extravaganza Contest Rules and Details
Hey, hey, hey!
In honor of Benedict Cumberbatch’s birthday (July 19th, 1976), we at According to Benedict
thought it would be fair to give out a present or two to some of the fanbase we have.
There is a catch, however! We just don’t give out prizes willy-nilly.
So you want to win?
Don’t worry, everyone has a shot. We will give a prize(s) to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place participants.

Time: July 1st – 19th 2014
Format: TWO (2) questions a day, for 19 days, which equals 38 which is how old Benedict is turning!
Type: Scavenger Hunt, Photo Identification, and standard trivia questions.
Scavenger Hunt = ScH
Photo Identification = PQ
and Trivia = T
Rules:
1. IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED FOR 1ST Place::: You must be specific when the questions involve standard Trivia and Scavenger Hunt. You cannot miss more than 10 questions (a.k.a 5 days)
example: ScH1 – We said good-bye on this day to Sherlock Holmes after his “final” leap. Literary.
Acceptable answer: 1891 (this is acceptable, but this is 2nd place territory, because this is when the story “The Final Problem” aka RB Fall ‘s story is set NOT when it was published)
Excellent answer: December 1893 (this is excellent and closer to what I was asking for. I was asking when the story of “The Finale Problem” was published)
Poor Answer: January 2012 (this would be a false answer, because I’m asking about the book and not the TV show, hence my clue in the question ‘literary’)
2. IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED FOR 2nd Place::: You cannot miss more than 14 questions (a.k.a 8 days). And you don’t have to be as specific, but you need to at least be in realm of the question .
example: T1 – who is Connie Prince and what is her occupation?
Acceptable answer: She is in fashion and she is a lady in “The Great Game” (anything along the lines of this is great, it isn’t specific, but it makes sense)
Excellent answer: She is a fashion consultant and victim in “The Great Game” (she is a fashion consultant, and she is murdered in “The Great Game”, but this is along the lines of a 1st place answer)
Poor Answer: She’s in “The Great Game” (this is correct, but it’s incredibly vague and didn’t even answer the first question)
3. IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED FOR 3rd Place::: You missed more than 8 days of trivia.
All the above rules in 1st and 2nd also apply to 3rd place. Just 3 place missed too many trivia days.
4. YOU NEED TO BE A FOLLOWER OF THE PAGE (obviously).
Prizes
1st place prize gets::
The Cumberpillow. Large size, comfy and adorable. Who doesn’t want to sleep with a Cumberpillow? And obviously, it’s not used. (via Redbubble)
2nd place gets::
This trio of bookmarks is just too adorable, great quality and durable! (via Etsy).
And you can’t have bookmarks without a book! Critically acclaimed book by the New York Times (and us here at WATB). This book analyzes Sherlock characters, and how our brain works in relation to every day events while teaching us ‘what would Sherlock do’. A great read for all. Don’t be an Anderson.
